Welcome to Spotty Dog Studio, a vibrant and inclusive traveling art studio. Our studio is dedicated to creating an environment where people of all ages and levels of experience can come together to explore their creativity and express themselves through art. At Spotty Dog Studio, we believe that everyone has an innate ability to create and we are committed to providing a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their artistic potential.
THE FOUNDER
Meet Ray, a Gold Coast local and the founder of Spotty Dog Studio. She is a talented and passionate creative whose love for art shines through in everything she does.
She's been creating and designing since she was old enough to hold a paintbrush. Her artistic skills go beyond painting to include sketching, pottery, sewing, beading, weaving and much more!
After studying architecture, Ray worked in the film industry for nearly six years as a Set Designer. Between films she taught art classes and worked with seniors, which only fuelled her love for sharing creativity even more.
In addition to this, Ray also worked as a Support Worker with people with disabilities, where she saw the need for social support building in these isolated individuals. Ray's passion for art is infectious, and anyone who works with her can't help but be swept up in her enthusiasm!
Broad Locations
Spotty Dog Studio operates out of community centres, youth hubs, and civic spaces to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone to explore their artistic side. Through its innovative approach to art education, Spotty Dog Studio fosters a sense of community and inspires creativity in all those who take part.
NDIS Groups
One of the things that sets us apart from other art studios is our specialisation in NDIS Group Workshops. We understand the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and different communication styles and we are dedicated to providing a program that is tailored to their needs. Our NDIS Group Workshops are designed to help individuals develop their artistic skills while also promoting independence, socialisation, and self-confidence. Come for the art and stay for the friendships!
